Aklan Agri Aqua Demonstration Farm and Training Center Welcomes KOICA Project Management Consultants

The Aklan Agri Aqua Demonstration Farm and Training Center, one of the province's premier agricultural and tourism sites, warmly welcomed the Project Management Consultants from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) for the Value Chain Enhancement of High Value Crops through Smart Agriculture project.

The KOICA team visited the center to validate the area for potential partnerships and funding, aiming to enhance the province's agricultural landscape. The discussions focused on the roles and responsibilities of relevant stakeholders in the project's implementation, which seeks to boost agricultural production, promote innovation, and improve the standard of living of Aklanon farmers.

Among those who participated in the activity were Governor Jose Enrique "Joen" Miraflores, Provincial Vice Governor Atty. Reynaldo Quimpo, Provincial Agriculturist Engr. Alexys Apolonio, RTD Zarlina Cuello, Ilyn Belinario (APCO), AAADFTC Supervisor Sovietaguirre Dela Cruz, KOICA PMC Project Manager Dr. Yoon Haejin, and other KOICA PMC representatives.

This partnership is expected to bring positive transformations to Aklan's agricultural sector, aligning with the province's commitment to sustainable and innovative farming practices.
